The publishing industry has two modes: the traditional gatekeepers who take years and most of your rights, and the self-publishing Wild West where quality control is optional. We wanted a third path.
BookShaper Digital exists to give authors professional-grade editorial, design, and production services without requiring them to sign away creative control or navigate opaque processes.
Every book we touch leaves our studio in a state that could sit on any shelf — physical or digital — and hold its own against traditionally published titles.
We're based in Northern Ireland, but our authors come from across the UK and Ireland. The work is remote-first, with in-person sessions available for local clients.
Tell us about your book project. We respond within one business day with an honest assessment of whether we can help.
How much does a full book project cost?
It depends on manuscript length, condition, and scope. After our free assessment call, we provide a fixed-price quote. Most projects fall between £1,800 and £6,500.
Do you work with international authors?
Yes. Everything is remote-capable. We use shared document platforms and video calls. Time zone differences have never been a barrier.
Can you help with illustrations?
We coordinate with a vetted network of illustrators. You approve all artwork. We handle briefs, revisions, and production integration.
